We are a small company that specializes in creating custom designs. We provide graphic design and production services to those needing signs, banners, websites, business identities, embroidery, heat press transfers, and sublimation in order to assist them in promoting themselves or their business. Our mission is to create unique, simplistic, and innovative designs that will help you increase your business, customer recognition, and client satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is our ultimate motivation. Both as a team and as individual designers, we work one on one with our clients to ensure quality results which echo their needs and desires. Your satisfaction is our ultimate motivation
Our team consists of the owner, Melanie Pamp, and our graphic designer, Sarah Brakke. Melanie does the hands on work when it comes to the creation and production of the final products. Sarah does the majority of the graphic design and creative work. Both work closely with our customers to make sure that their ideas come to life, and that the final product is a success.
Your imagination is our reality!
Melanie received training in design at the University of Minnesota before turning her interests towards animal nutrition and agronomy. She has come back to her favorite career, apparel decoration, specifically embroidery. Melanie is continually updating and furthering her training in embroidery and digitizing, working with clients to produce designs that are high quality, unique and reasonably priced. Dye-sublimation, transfers, and mixed media designs are an area where she has been able to successfully mix her production techniques with Sarah’s creative designs to produce products that are in demand by clients in many different venues. Her graduate business training and experience gives Melanie the expertise to help Prairie Design’s clients find the best solution to market, promote and advertise their business and the individual client find gifts, apparel and graphics to fit their needs.
Sarah received her professional training at the University of Minnesota. She is interested in all applications of design, but finds herself most drawn to the design of printed media; specifically branding and identity. She is constantly working to further her web design abilities, and hopes to see this aspect of her skills improved throughout the future of her career. You may visit her online portfolio here.

Embroidery, though it has a long and rich tradition, is a thoroughly modern industry. A design idea may start with pencil and paper, but it soon meets a computerized manufacturing process. Artwork must be digitized (converted) into a computerized embroidery format. A series of steps are taken to insure that a design idea, already translated to computer, will translate once more to thread and fabric.
We offer different types of methods to produce apparel for you. Embroidery is our most requested, but other types such as Dye Sublimation and Laser-cut production practices are gaining in popularity. Laser-cut apparel works best on polar fleece and fleece clothing. Attractive and understated, laser-cut logoed apparel is the new way to advertise your business-corporate or agricultural. Dye Sublimated clothing is quite attractive-giving full color options, all-over print as well as placed logos can be put on t-shirts, fleece, hats, scarves, shorts, polos and many other items. Both the Laser-cut and Dye Sublimated options are economical and durable, no cracking, fading or peeling. The Dye Sublimation can bring your ideas to life and provide visual depth to the photos or designs on your clothing. Great partnered with embroidery, bringing dimension to your design.
Promotional Items are an integral part of a complete marketing strategy for growing and promoting a business by increasing awareness of a new service or products, recognizing employee efforts, or merely generating valuable good will among customers
People love receiving promotional items and there is a wide variety of promotional merchandise you may choose from, depending upon your operating budget. Business events, tradeshows and on-hand inventory that can be handed out to customers will advertise your company’s brand name or products in a direct way that your clients will be happy to use and items with your company logo will give your business constant recognition. Items such as promotional office products, mugs, t-shirts and bags make great tradeshow gifts and with the many eco-friendly products available, people will appreciate carrying your reusable bags with your company logo either screen printed, transferred or dye sublimated on it.
Employees wearing polo shirts or sweaters with the company logo embroidered on them adds class to your tradeshow booth and workplace, with instant recognition when they are out in public. Hats, clothing and tradeshow marketing items are available from Prairie Designs. If you’re looking for easy to use, attractive, affordable products and business solutions that are delivered on time, contact Prairie Designs. We can help your company logo create an aura of trust and loyalty, to the benefit of you and your clients.
Graphic designers work with drawn, painted, photographed, or computer-generated images (pictures), but they also design the letterforms that make up various typefaces found in movie credits and TV ads; in books, magazines, and menus; and even on computer screens. Designers create, choose, and organize these elements-typography, images, and the so-called “white space” around them-to communicate a message. Graphic design is a part of your daily life. From humble things like gum wrappers to huge things like billboards to the T-shirt you're wearing, graphic design informs, persuades, organizes, stimulates, locates, identifies, attracts attention and provides pleasure..
Graphic design is a creative process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas. The designer works with a variety of communication tools in order to convey a message from a client to a particular audience. The main tools are image and typography. Designers develop images to represent the ideas their clients want to communicate. Images can be incredibly powerful and compelling tools of communication, conveying not only information but also moods and emotions. People respond to images instinctively based on their personalities, associations, and previous experience.
Our graphic designer, Sarah Brakke, will work with you and evaluate the message you or your business wishes to convey, getting it in front of the public, designing gifts that are pleasing to the eye, attracting attention to your message. Whether it’s support for your favorite team, a photo gift for family or friends, awards for employees or competitors, business branding or printed materials, Sarah has the experience, vision and creativity to provide you, our client, with a desirable, attractive product that will stimulate your business, provide pleasure and bring attention to your message.
